Shore Leave (For hesdead_jim)

Amara could not have been more comfortable. Real sun. Beach. This was the life. She could very easily just lay here forever, baking int he blazing sun. She didn't even mind that the white sand had burned her feet as she made her way to the perfect spot on the beach. The untouched natural dunes behind them and gentle waves before them provided a perfect surroundings for this day, and the clear blue water was calling her, tempting her to cool off among those crashing waves. However, Amara seemed to have lost all will to move as she laid on her beach chair, listening lazily to the waves.Time seemed to stop here. It was truly the perfect spot for shore leave, and she was loving every minute of it.

"I think I'm beachnotized." She admitted, not even bothering to look away from the water. She knew "beachnotized" wasn't a real condition yet, but it certainly was now.

"Yes, we really really should." She leaned over and kissed him again, pulling him back onto her towel with her, forgetting about her sore knees.

He moved with her as she pulled him back, bracing his hands either side of her to lean over her as they kissed.

She cringed a little when she somehow managed to lay on a rock or sharp sea shell of some sort... coral maybe? She didn't know, but whatever it was it dug into her back. With a groan she shifted her weight and felt around for the offending object. She gave Leonard an apologetic smile as she pulled it out and tossed it away. "It's just not my day, is it?"

He chuckled quietly and shook his head, kissing her cheek tenderly. "It's really not."

"Oh well." She smiled when he kissed her cheek. He really was very sweet. "I'm having a good time, and at least I'm with someone who can treat all these vacation wounds."

"M' glad yer havin' a good time. All I wanted," he smiled. He'd wanted them to share this, to both enjoy themselves. Despite her getting banged up in the water, things all seemed good so far.

"Oh I'm sure that's not all you wanted." She teased. This was honestly the most relaxed she'd felt in ages.

"Well.. all G rated things I wanted then," he replied with a playful little grin.

She laughed, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "And just what rating were you hoping this little adventure would be, Doctor?"

"Well... certain parts of it range from PG right up to R ratin'," he replied with a chuckle of amusement.

She chuckled a little herself. "R huh?" She looked around again. "Well, we are completely alone. Probably moreso than any other place before." Starships didn't exactly afford one a lot of privacy, and part of the appeal of this trip was some time to themselves.

"Mmm, we are," he looked round also and moved closer, sliding his hands over her blanket either side of her with a playful grin. "Nothin' fer you to lay on sharp there..." which he said as he moved even closer, leaning in close to her, head dipped to try to kiss her.

"No... but if there is I'll find it." She returned the kiss, and wrapped her arms around his neck to keep him there with her. "You've seen my luck."

"Maybe... it should be me on my back then, huh?" he suggested playfully.

She laughed, "Maybe. Though won't we get sand in places sand shouldn't go? That can't be comfortable..."

"It's a risk I'm willin' to take fer some time with you," he replied playfully. When he got playful, he got playful.

"A man willing to risk sand chafing for me?" She teased, very amused by his mood today. "Now that's impressive."

"Well there ya go. Testament to how smitten this man is, I'd say," he replied, leaning in to steal a quick kiss from her.

She blushed a little. "Well it's nice to be appreciated."

"I'm glad ya think so," he paused then. "So, can I ravish you or do I hafta be patient an' take you to our room for that?"

"Hm..." She took her time considering the question then reached up to pull him down for a kiss. "I suppose there is something romantic about being ravished on the beach by a handsome man."

With a chuckle, he leant in to kiss her, tugging on her bottom lip as he drew back. "Wonderful. Good pick."

"Well beach clothes are very accessible." She teased, tugging on his trunks a little. "It'd be a shame to waste an opportunity."

He laughed quietly, looking down at her hands on his trunks and back up at her face. He reached then to toy with the sides of her biikin bottoms, his hips lifting a little. "You got that right."

She ran her hands along the waist band then up his back, gently traces an invisible pattern as she went. "You know, if I were an innocent girl you'd be a terrible influence." She teased.
