She nodded slightly, frowning at his words and watching him go. As soon as he was she gathered up the boy and spoke to Christine, she knew lying was wrong. And part of her knew this was a really bad idea, but her instincts were overriding the logical part of her brain and right now her instincts were screaming at her to take the baby home with her and take care of him herself.
