It was early that morning when she finally started to wake. Everything still hurt and she was thirsty. Probably more thirsty than she had ever been in her life. She looked around, hoping to find the glass of water she usually kept by her bed. Then she realized she was in sickbay, and she slowly started to remember getting sick. When she saw Doctor Boyce she didn't want to wake him and bother him for something as simple as water, so she chose to get up and get it for herself. However, when she sat up she found that her entire body still ached, and her head felt like it was going to explode.
