Nov. 2nd, 2009 07:46 pmAll the information Amara had read about giving birth said the same thing. Babies took a long time to be born. At least, that was how Amara interpreted it. Always hating doctors and having no desire to spend all day in medical, Amara had decided to wait in her quarters as long as possible when she started having contractions. Besides, she wasn't even sure she was in labor. It wasn't as if she had a lot of experience in this area, so she decided to wait and see what happened.
At first they hadn't been too bad, more of a slight discomfort really. She'd actually gotten some work done, which surprised her. Truth be told, labor was extremely boring. Or at least it started that way....
After several hours it was getting intense. She'd been timing the contractions. She'd read that was important. They were five minutes apart now and starting to hurt. It was time to go. She sent Frank a message to come to her quarters right away, hoping he got the urgency in her message. She didn't really want to walk there alone, and supporting her in labor seemed to be the least Frank could do for her at the moment. Right now, all she could do was wait and hope he hurried.
