Nov. 5th, 2009 06:55 pmI can't think of one reason why I joined Starfleet... but I can think of a thousand reasons why I should quit.
The best of the best. The brightest of the brightest. I'm neither of these things. They make it hard on purpose. They even set you up to fail to see what you do with it. It's the ultimate challenge. A constant test of your mind, body, and even soul. You have to have heart. You have to believe in yourself and what you're doing.
I know I don't belong... but here's the thing: I'm the ultimate survivor. You knock me down, I get right back up, and you'll have to work twice as hard to knock me down again. I may lack confidence at times, I may be down on myself, but I don't quit. I'm stronger than I look, and I can endure. I can do this. I will do this. I accepted the challenge and I'll see if through to the end.
I am a Starfleet Cadet. Bring it on.
