So.... I've been sucked into this documentary series on the history channel and it's giving me ideas... I'd like to set up a (gasp) plot line with time travel. My character hates history and will be mad at me for this, but I absolutely love it and am a total nerd. And even though this is totally the worst possible time of year for me to be doing anything with a plot I still want to try it. It can be IM or livejournal or whatever. Anytime or place, we'll figure it out... just wondering if anyone else would be interested in some time travel fun?

I've always been a sucker for U.S. history but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to something else. How about you?

US history works for me. Civil War or Revolutionary War sound good? I'm a sucker for wars... and hoop skirts :-)

Hee! Now I'm having flash backs to Voy: "The Q and the Grey". :) Let's do Revolutionary War. My girls are studying Colonial America right now so the information will be fresh.

Leaving in a few and will be gone tomorrow morning. Talk to you more about it after that!

Haha! I'm a high school history teacher... though I've mostly taught world history stuff, but Colonial America is fun. I live close to Colonial Williamsburg and all that so that's a good time period to do. Amara can be just as miserable in stays and a long dress as she would be in a hoop skirt :-)

That's wonderful! I think the only bad thing about living on the west coast is the lack of living history. I visited Colonial Williamsburg though when I was in grade school. Was a neat trip!

I like going in December when it's all decorated for Christmas, and it's not quite as crowded. So let's see.... Valley Forge camp or Siege of Yorktown?

Oh I bet that's just a lovely sight. Let's do Valley Forge.

Ok! I'll start something after I grade a stack of papers. It'll be my reward for actually managing to get some work done.
