cadet_amaraThe first thing she noticed was the cold. It shouldn't have been this cold. Amara hated being cold and wet so even before she opened her eyes she knew wherever she was she was not going to be happy, so she laid there a second longer, hoping that whatever it was making her cold and wet would be a dream. It was the birds that made her open her eyes. Why were there birds? It made no sense....
Slowly, she opened her eyes, squinting in the light. She was lying on her back in the forest.... what forest? Where was she? She sat up to look around, and found herself in a forest covered in a blanket of snow. Well, that would explain the cold and wet. She spent a second cursing whoever decided miniskirts for uniforms was a good idea, and looked around for some sign of where she was or how she got there. Whatever and wherever it was, it couldn't be good.
