"Ow..." Amara landed hard on the concrete. She cursed the transporters for the less than graceful enterance for a moment until she realized this was not where she was supposed to be. She had been beaming over to a ship with the rest of the away team. This was clearly a planet. In fact, it looked like Earth. But not her Earth. Earth from hundreds of years ago.

She stood up slowly, looking around for the rest of the away team, but only say strange faces. A few people eyed her curiously, but most just hurried along their way, as if a random woman in a uniform skirt just randomly appeared out of no where any day.

"Where am I?" She wondered aloud. "And what the hell happened?

"If you say so. Not that I want to see you go, but hopefully we'll figure this out and then neither of us will have to sleep on the couch."

"I don't know where to begin." She sighed a little, leaning back against the couch cushions. It was comfortable. She closed her eyes for a second then opened them again. "What time is it?"

Peter got up to throw away the trash from cleaning up her knees, and he looked at the clock in the kitchen. "Um.. little after six. Are you hungry? I was thinking like pizza, um.. because I kinda don't much food right now."

"That's fine. Sounds good actually." She got up too and followed him to the kitchen. "Can I help you with those dishes?"

He rubbed the back of his neck and looked over at the dishes. "Oh those, um.. I'll do it. I kind of hadn't had a lot of time lately. I mean if you really want to..."

"It's alright. I don't mind." She smiled a little. "It'll be something useful for me to do."

"Sure, if you really want to."

He looked back at her for a few moments and started to smile. "You know.. you have a really beautiful smile."

Amara felt her cheeks grow hot and turned from the sink to look at him. She couldn't help but smile again. "You really think so?"

"Yeah," he said with a small laugh. "I really think so."

She was definitely now blushing. She never knew what to do when people complimented her. "Well... thank you... you're very sweet to say so." She inwardly cringed at how ridiculously stupid she sounded and turned to the sink to do the dishes.

He picked up a towel and walked over to the sink next to her. "I didn't mean to make you embarrassed or anything, it just kind of...had to be said. And um, thanks for helping, normally when I get home, I'm too tired to do much of anything."

Amara smiled a little. "It's no problem... I think it's a combination of my Starfleet training and my natural inclination to keep things neat. I don't know why, but the one thing none of my foster parents ever complained about was the state of my room. I actually like cleaning. It's nice to have some control over something."
